The Conference is sponsored by the Faculty of Theology in the University of Oxford.
** THE XVTH CONFERENCE ON PATRISTIC STUDIES WILL NOT BE CANCELLED **
The current unseasonal wet weather will not affect either the use of the Examination Schools or the College accommodation. All these buildings are on high ground.
Bus routes from London and the airports
These routes are still functioning as before, although there may be some delays, which we cannot foresee.
Some local bus routes have been re-routed to cope with the flooding in parts of west and south oxford. We are reliably informed by the local radio that the river has peaked and so it is likely that the water levels will now go down.
Train services
Train services have been disrupted from London (Paddington) to Oxford. There is a bus service from Didcot to Oxford.
By the time you reach Oxford in early August, it is hoped that all the services will be back to normal, although we cannot guarantee this.
We suggest that you bring some wet weather clothing with you to be on the safe side.
